cTrader Store is a niche marketplace, not a standalone platform. The question is not whether it hosts indicators and cBots — it does — but whether the specific product you need exists in it at acceptable quality and whether cTrader itself is the platform you want to be building on.
This review synthesizes the product's own store listing, Spotware's cTrader documentation and observed marketplace behavior. Because product pricing varies per listing ($10 to $500+), we do not report a headline monthly cost — the store itself is free to browse, and individual products are one-off purchases.
The marketplace is tied to a single ecosystem
cTrader Store only serves cTrader users. If your broker does not offer cTrader (many US brokers do not), the store is not useful to you. Before subscribing to any product, verify your broker's cTrader access and that the indicator or cBot you want is compatible with the version your broker deploys.
Compared to MetaTrader's marketplace, cTrader Store is smaller. That is a trade-off: fewer products, but a more curated developer community and cleaner platform architecture underneath. For traders who prefer cTrader over MT4/MT5, the store is where third-party tooling lives.
What you actually find in the store
The store organizes products across four broad buckets: technical indicators, cBots (automated trading), risk-management utilities, and general tools. Each listing exposes reviews, version history, developer support responsiveness, and platform-version compatibility. A meaningful subset of listings are free, which lets you sample the ecosystem quality before spending money.
Product quality varies dramatically. Free indicators from active community developers are often excellent; paid "black-box" cBots with vague claims are often not worth the money. Read the reviews, read the version history, and prefer developers who ship updates.
Prop firm integration is a genuine differentiator
Several cTrader Store products are built specifically to help traders pass funded-account evaluations at prop firms that use cTrader. These typically include drawdown-aware position sizing, daily-loss auto-close, news-time trading blocks, and consistency filters. For traders working on a prop challenge (see the prop firms hub), that packaging can be worth the one-off product cost — but the underlying trading logic still has to be yours.
No off-the-shelf cBot passes a challenge on autopilot. Anyone claiming otherwise is either overfitting historical data or misrepresenting results. Use these tools as guardrails around a strategy you understand, not as the strategy itself.
Affiliate program pays up to 20%
The cTrader Store affiliate program offers up to 20% commission on sales referred through your links, with a 30-day cookie window. That is generous relative to most trading-tool affiliate programs. For content creators covering cTrader specifically, it is one of the more sustainable monetization paths — but the audience is small compared to MetaTrader or TradingView.
What competitors do that cTrader Store does not
MetaTrader Marketplace (see MetaTrader 5) has far more listings across every possible indicator and EA category. Standalone algo platforms (QuantConnect, NinjaTrader) offer deeper backtesting and multi-asset engines. TradingView's community indicator library (TradingView) is larger and free.
The reason to use cTrader Store is that you have chosen cTrader as your platform. If you have not, the store is not the reason to switch.
Our current assessment
cTrader Store is worth browsing if you already trade on cTrader and are looking for indicators, cBots or prop-firm-focused utilities. Free tier products let you evaluate quality before spending. Paid products should be judged on developer reputation, review count and version history — not marketing copy. It is not a replacement for a proper platform decision: choose the platform first, then use the store to extend it.
Comparable alternatives to review before committing: MetaTrader 5, NinjaTrader, and QuantConnect. For automated crypto workflows, see 3Commas or Bitsgap.
